This quintessential vinyl edition includes the soundtrack LP Girls! Girls! Girls! (originally released by RCA-Victor on December 9, 1962). It contained the music from Elvis' eleventh film, the first of three with Girls in the title. It was also his only film to be nominated for an award (a Golden Globe for Best Musical, losing to The Music Man). Like most of Elvis' soundtracks, this one was recorded in Hollywood with a mix of West Coast studio players (including legendary Wrecking Crew drummer Hal Blaine), as well as Elvis regulars (among them Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana, and The Jordanaires) plus some new faces, such as the legendary jazz guitarist Barney Kessel and the vocal group The Amigos. In addition to the original album, this WaxTime release also includes 2 bonus tracks, consisting of a pair of brilliant tunes from the same recording period: Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello, and Good Luck Charm.
