<p>Publius Cornelius Tacitus (56 -117 A.D.) was a Roman senator and also one of Rome’s greatest historians. Tacitus’ best known works are The <i>Annals</i> and <i>Histories</i> which examined the rule of the emperors Tiberius, Claudius, Nero and others. Tacitus’ writing is well known for its insights into the psychology of the politics of his day.</p><p>This version of Tacitus’ <i>Germania</i> includes an active table of contents.</p>
