The GSNI gas spring incorporates a strong annealed steel rod with a Nitride coating for corrosion resistance. These struts also use composite 10 mm ball end fitting for additional corrosion resistance . This is for ONE strut. This strut is 15" extended and 9.5" closed, with a 5.5" stroke and has 10 mm ball sockets. Those measurements are from center of ball socket to ball socket. End to end these are 16" open and 10.5" closed These are 30 pounds of force. Commonly used for hatches, covers, lids, doors, rv's campers
