The Dyson DC17 Cyclonic Assembly uses patented technology to better separate more fine dirt and dust from the air. Eight cyclones spin dirt and dust at extremely high rates of speed, pushing particles to the outer walls to deposit the material into the clear bin. Doing this means that less particles makes it onto the filter.<br><br> Included with the genuine DC17 Cyclonic Assembly is the bin seal, spring, and front bin catch.<br><br> Replacing the DC17 Cyclonic Assembly does not require any tools and should only take you a few minutes. To replace the cyclone, follow the steps below:<br><br> Turn off and unplug your vacuum<br> Remove the cyclone and clear bin assembly from your vacuum<br> Press the bin base release button<br> On the Clear Bin, there is a latch to push down on that will allow you to separate the clear bin from the Cyclonic Assembly<br> Align the new Cyclonic assembly to the clear bin and push it on.<br><br> The Dyson DC17 Cyclonic Assembly is compatible with the following DC17 models: Absolute (Blue and Purple), Animal (Purple), Animal Exclusive (Purple).
