Linda decided to record well known "afro-Cuban" songs and titled the album Frenesí. Like her two previous Latin recordings ventures, this third Latin album won Ronstadt another Grammy Award, this time for Best Traditional Tropical Latin Album. It reached number 193 on the Billboard album chart, #3 on the Top Latin Albums chart, and #17 on the Tropic/Salsa chart.
