Each serving packs 400 calories. It contains 100g of carbohydrates in a mix of glucose, maltodextrin, and sucrose for a blend of fast-acting, slow-acting, and easy-absorbing carbs. The bottle also has 1000mg of amino acids, which break down into glutamine and the branch-chain amino acids isoleucine, leucine, and valine. It also contains a heavy-duty electrolyte blend of 400mg sodium, 290mg potassium, 150mg calcium, 120mg magnesium, and 600mg chloride. We sweat salt, and the lack of sodium can lead to cramping. You don't however, just want to replace salt, as First Endurance knows. The liquid Shot keeps your electrolytes balanced while you ride to help with absorption and reduce lactic acid build-up.
