Darshan Ambient's (Michael Allison) 9th studio album, and latest release on Spotted Peccary, draws inspiration from the themes and moods of the Civil War era documentary REMEMBER THE SULTANA, for which Michael Allison scored the soundtrack. This somber story of a forgotten tragedy sets the stage for minimalist orchestrations and poignant melodic piano motives reminiscent of the more introspective, if not darker sides of Phillip Glass and Arvo Pärt. This electronic symphonic ambient textural work, emotively conveys Allison's deeper appreciation of being thoroughly immersed into such a thought provoking experience, where the visages of the past are brought forward to the present.
