FRAM's Tough Guard Air Filter is constructed with advanced features to help protect your engine under tough driving conditions. Formulated for increased dirt-holding capacity for dirty, dusty driving conditions, this air filter features pre-oiled media formulated for holding more dirt and dust particles. Traditional paper filters are dry, and the dirt has to embed itself in the media where only larger particles may be captured. The Tough Guard filter also features a heavier screen for increased durability, with an extension into urethane to provide greater integrity and lessen the likelihood of collapse or tearing in tough driving conditions. The pleat lock glue bead feature allows for pleats to lock into place for greater pleat stability and consistent airflow.
