Product Description

Estes 1753 AVG Bulk Variety Pack of Rocket-Building Kits, Beginner and Intermediate Flying-Rocket-Model Kits for Ages 10+, Includes Viking, Alpha, and EX2 Rockets

  • INTERMEDIATE & BEGINNER MODEL-ROCKET-BUILDING KITS: These Estes model rocket kits offer kids ages 10+ the chance to build 3 models. They include 4 Alpha (beginner), 4 Viking (intermediate), and 4 Generic EX2 (beginner) rocket model kits with engine mounts, design decals, recovery parachutes, and instructions. Each rocket requires rocket engines, a launch pad system, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and 4 high-quality 1.5-volt AA alkaline batteries for launch use (sold separately).
  • 3 DIFFERENT PROJECTED ALTITUDES: These fun model rockets have the following projected altitudes when used with a C6-7 Estes model-rocket engine (sold separately): Alpha: 1,000 ft. (305 m); Viking: 1,600 ft. (488 m); Generic E2X: 1,325 ft. (404 m). Compatible engines also include 1/2A6-2, A8-3, A8-5, B4-4, B6-4, B6-6, or C6-5 rocket engines.
  • READY TO ASSEMBLE: Rocket building inspires creativity and a passion for science and outer space! Our intermediate- and beginner-level rocket-building bulk pack comes with ready-to-build rockets that require approximately 10 minutes of assembly time for each E2X rocket and 1 hour of assembly time for each Alpha and Viking rocket. Add the included decals and pair the rockets with the right engines, Porta-Pad II Launch Pad, and Electron Beam Launch Controller (sold separately) for blastoff.
  • SAFETY FIRST, FUN ALWAYS: Our rockets are designed to be used with the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code. Always ensure you have an appropriate launch site, stand back at least 15 ft., insert the safety key, issue a countdown, and then you can let your rocket fly!
  • ESTES EDUCATION: Estes Education provides educators with the tools for success through our interdisciplinary STEM products, accessible lessons, and online resources. Our mission is to cultivate the skills and confidence necessary to easily implement science and rocketry in classrooms, youth programs, and beyond.

<div class="aplus"><p>The Estes AVG rocket bulk pack contains three different rocket styles (Alpha, Viking, and Generic), each with four rocket kit packets with materials and instructions required to assemble the rocket. It is recommended for children 10 years and older with adult supervision up to age 12. The Generic rocket kit has a plastic nose cone, body tube, one-piece plastic tail fin unit, and self-stick decals for E2X ease of assembly. The Alpha and Viking rocket kits have a plastic nose cone, body tube, pre-cut fins, and self-stick decals for Level 1 assembly skill. Additional equipment and supplies are required to launch the rocket, including launch system, model rocket engines, starters, recovery wadding, and glue (all sold separately). This rocket bulk pack has 12 individual packets, which allows each child to experience assembling and launching (with required components) the rocket and is suitable for youth group activities such as with clubs and schools.</p><table border="1" width="800" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr bgcolor="#DFE1E0"><th colspan="2" align="left"><b>Specifications</b></th></tr><tr><td>Skill level</td><td>Generic Kit: Easy to Assemble (E2X), simple gluing, no painting<br/>Alpha Kit: Level 1, measuring, cutting, and gluing assembly, no painting<br/>Viking Kit: Level 1, measuring, cutting, and gluing assembly, optional fin designs, no painting</td></tr><tr><td>Age recommendation</td><td>10 years and up, adult supervision under 12</td></tr><tr><td>Recommended engines</td><td>1/2A6-2, A8-3 (First Flight), A8-5, B4-4, B6-4, B6-6, C6-5, C6-7</td></tr><tr><td>Projected maximum altitude</td><td>Generic: 1,100' (335m)<br/>Alpha: 1,000' (305m)<br/>Viking: 1,600' (488m)</td></tr><tr><td>Rocket weight</td><td>Generic: 1.27 oz. These kits are recommended for children 10 years and older, with adult supervision advised to age 12. Rocket kit assembly encompasses a range of skill levels-from Easy-to-Assemble (E2X), requiring only simple gluing and less than an hour of time-to Level 5, requiring multi-step assembly with measuring, cutting, gluing, and painting tasks. Reusable rocket kit components include a cone, a body tube, and a recovery parachute. A rocket engine, a starter, and recovery wadding are used once. Rocket engines come in a variety of sizes, time delays, and burn durations. A "first-flight" engine recommendation is generally made for each rocket kit. A launch pad has a stable base and a vertical rod that provide vertical stability during initial liftoff. A launch controller has a keyed ignition switch to prevent accidental ignition, and a cable provides a safe distance from the rocket during launch. Bulk packs of model rocket kits are available for clubs and schools, and allow groups of children to experience building and launching a rocket.</p><p>Estes manufactures model rocket kits, launching equipment, and rocket engines.
