<I>Endtyme</I> is Cathedral's day in the sun. Completing the unfinished business of Black Sabbath circa the threateningly dense <i>Sabotage</i>, the band sways with charming sleaze on "Melancholy Emperor" while honoring its original doom-metal commitment. "Cathedral Flames" and "Alchemist of Sorrows" urgently push forward tight riffs played on strings that sound like they were made from bridge cables.
