Distant Echoes
The brilliant progressive rock pioneers, Jade Warrior are renowned for their musical style. Distant Echoes features Tom Newman, who worked with Mike Oldfield on Tubular Bells 1 and 2, Jon Field (flutes, EWI, congas), Colin Henson (guitars) and Dave Sturt (Cipher on fretless bass). The theme of the album focuses on footprints made by 3 hominids, three and a half million years ago in the volcanic ash. Thoughts must go to who made these marks now turned to stone, and what their dreams and beliefs must have been. This recording will carefully take us through the mystery so these ancient people become distant echoes of ourselves. <P>Distant Echoes was the band's most recent album from the 1990s which never got the distribution it deserved. Now, specially mastered for CD with brand new artwork, this is a truly atmospheric album, which will appeal to both Ambient and Progressive Rock fans alike.
