- Upper and lower thresholds of permitted luminosity can be programmed to give an interrupt signal when the actual illumination exceeds this threshold.
- TSL2561 luminosity contains two photodiodes, one which can detect visible light and infrared (IR), and the second which can detect IR light.
- Digital output conforms to the standard SMBUS (TSL2560) and I2C(TSL2561) bus protocols.
- Programmable control of analog gain and digital output time. Automatic suppression of 50 Hz/60 Hz light fluctuations.
- With the sensor containing both infrared and full spectrum diodes gives the ability to separately measure infrared, full‑spectrum or human‑visible light.
