This digital k-type thermometer can be used for temperature measurements of asphalt, bitumen and concrete. It can be used both in the laboratory and on the road. The large temperature range up to 1292 degree F will allow the testing of very hot materials. The sturdy stainless steel probe with a 4 mm diameter (about 3/16 inch, 0.156 inch) can easily be inserted into asphalt and bitumen. It frequently is used as a truck temperature kit since it is so easy to carry on the road.
