Famed for her film score to Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, Jocelyn Pook is a highly versatile composer who has written extensively for film, television, the theatre, and the concert hall. She has worked with some of the world's leading directors, musicians, artists and arts institutions including Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, the Royal Opera House, BBC Proms, Andrew Motion, Peter Gabriel, Massive Attack, and Laurie Anderson. DESH was composed to accompany Akram Khan's theatre work of the same name. The music translates into sound the sights, energy and colour Pook experienced into fragile pieces scored for chamber ensemble as well as pieces harnessing the power of full orchestra.
