Deeper Roots Part 2 takes up the mantle of exploring Yabby You's extensive back catalogue and is packed with previously unreleased mixes of one of the most maverick of Jamaican producers. The music that had poured out of Yabby from 1972 onwards was deeply felt. Always striving to get his ideas out and always with limited funds he lived much of his life on the edge. His music was relentless in its content of old world biblical prophecy. Melodic original and often enhanced by some of King Tubby's and Prince Jammy's best mixing, this was potent stuff. The music on the album is not perhaps the full picture. More of a sketch that helps to fill in some of the gaps that still remain in Yabby's catalogue.
