<b>Dakota Alert MURS-BS-KIT Motion Sensor Kit</b><br> The Dakota Alert MURS-BS-KIT Motion Sensor Kit provides real-time monitoring in your home or business. It includes one battery-operated MURS Alert Transmitter (MAT) and one M538-BS MURS Base Station. The MURS kit is ideal to use in a fixed location such as offices and retail stores.<br> The MURS Alert Transmitter detects moving vehicles, animals, or people from 30 to 80 feet away. The transmitter employs a Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor so it can only detect large objects that emit heat. So, you don't have to worry about the transmitter detecting a falling leaf. Once the MAT detects an unexpected person, it will automatically send a pre-programmed alarm signal to the M538-BS Base Station.<br> The M538-BS MURS Base Station Radio uses a low-power, short-range service. It can operate in Very High Frequencies (151.820~154.600MHz) but doesn't require an FCC license. The Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS) was created by the US Federal Communications Commission and complies with their strict regulations.<br> The MURS transmitter is readily expandable.
