<p>The Universal File Bar Economy Pack restores used metal lateral file cabinets so they can once again use hanging file folders (i.e. green pendaflex style). The Metal 4 Pack includes (4) 40" long universal file bars and (8) universal hanging clips. They will work in any metal (steel) lateral filing cabinet regardless of brand name or age. File bars are sold 40 inches long ready to be cut to your required length. Multiple bars can be used in any combination allowing you to design your own modular system for side-to-side, front-to-back and letter or legal size filing. If you need extra clips for your project, please call the manufacturer BEFORE placing your order. Made in the U.S.A.</p> <p> Installation instructions: <b>NOTE: THESE FILE BARS MUST BE CUT-TO-LENGTH BEFORE INSTALLING.</b> Metal is 1/16" thick and can not be cut with tin snips, common methods for cutting are a hacksaw and vice, bandshaw or chopsaw. Measuring and cutting instructions are included. After cutting the file bar to length, just snap a clip on each end and it's ready to attach to the cabinet drawer wall or another file bar. The hanging style clip is designed to attach to a variety of "edge or ridge" thickness' (up to 1/8" thick maximum). Each clip includes (1) locking screw which prevents the clip from sliding sideways. The file bars and clips are made of heavy duty steel, and to similar design criteria as common "A Grade" OEM models. You can be assured that they will not bend or deflect under heavy usage.
