<p><strong><em>Cronopios and Famas</em> is one of the best-loved books by Julio Cort¡zar, one of the greatest of Latin American novelists.</strong></p> "The Instruction Manual," the first chapter, is an absurd assortment of tasks and items dissected in an instruction-manual format.
