Croissants for Breakfast
The last thing Mike and Annie need is a house in a remote Burgundian village. Besides which, Mike has never heard of the woman who bequeathed the house to him. Finding out who she was and why he inherited a French family home comes as a shock, but Mike and Annie realise they have to go to France to try and sort out what to do with this unwanted legacy. What surprises them is how the canal-side village of Coulaize and its residents evoke feelings they’d rather not give in to.

Coulaize was introduced in the novel, Escargot Days, and Annie and Mike’s story takes us back to the village to be reacquainted with some of the same characters.
