The material is presented as a home study course, with practice exercises at each step. All the necessary table selections are included, as well as work forms and plotting sheets that can be photocopied.  It is a one book course.<br><br>Besides it use for racing and cruising sailors, this book has also been used to train world record setting ocean rowers and the officers of US war ships. It is the training text used by several sailing certification agencies in the US.
