Cab Driver: Dot & Paramount Years 1958 - 1972
EU-only collection. After a long and illustrious recording career that had spawned over 60 major US Pop hits for Brunswick and Decca Records, respectively, The Mills Brothers took a new direction and signed to Paramount's recently acquired subsidiary, Dot. Commencing in 1958, their spell with the label and it's parent company lasted some 12 years, and produced some of the group's finest works, including seven chart hits, four of which make their CD debut on this set. This long overdue collection, comprising the best of their Dot and Paramount singles, highlights an almost forgotten chapter in the career of what were arguably the most successful and influential vocal group in the history of recorded music.
