The American writer and composer Paul Bowles spent much of his life in Morocco. His is internationally remembered for his novel The Sheltering Sky but excelled as a composer in many forms. His piano music covers an impressive stylistic variety and reflects his wide cultural interests. Amongst his most celebrated works is the brilliant cornucopia Night Waltz.
