<P>A TOWN OF SURVIVORS</P><P>Nestled on the border of New Mexico since long before there was a New Mexico, the small town of San Ildefonso had survived a lot. Marauding Indians, bandoleros, soldiers in blue and raiders in rags had all come and gone. Yet the residents of San Ildefonso remained, poor but resilient.</P><P>But now renegades from south of the border are attempting to seize the town, in search of a rumored conquistador treasure. With few young men able to fight, the village women and even the priest take up arms. But will it be enough? Will the courageous townspeople survive to battle another day?</P>
