The unit comes with drain, pump & siphon & 13' Of hose.Make sure hose is not kinked or bent which would impede water flow.Make sure base of unit is centered in pool. Base of unit should be placed clear of leaves and/or debris; which may block or slow down draining. Water will not flow uphill. End of hose and siphon pump should be lower than unit; when working to prime/create siphon action. Prime unit : Filling hose with water prior to using siphon pump will help siphon action to start more easily & quickly.
