Emerging from the mid-seventies New York punk rock movement, Blondie's mix of punk ethos, glorious melodies and the iconic figure of Debbie Harry took them to global superstardom. Filmed at the time of their reunion in 1999, this addition to the acclaimed VH1 series Behind The Music tells the story of Blondie from their origins in CBGB's, through their superstar years, their breakup in the mid eighties, Chris Stein's illness, solo careers and on to their current reformation. The story is illustrated by interviews with band members Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Jimmy Destri and Clem Burke, plus Joey Ramone, John Waters and Terry Ellis of Chrysalis Records.
