Its durable hardwood frame, inspired by Japanese Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles, can endure generations of play. At the same time, its elastic-band muscles and sturdy wood limbs can hold dozens poses while remaining impervious to breakage. When at rest, the robot folds up into a perfect cube.
