The Alpine DVE-5300 is an add-on DVD/CD player. It is designed for use with the mech-less 8-inch Restyle dash system (X108U) to provide DVD/CD entertainment to the system. The DVE-5300 connects to the X108U via the HDMI for optimal signal quality. It uses an automotive grade DVD mechanism for improved on-the-road reliability and incorporates a 24-bit DAC for high quality sound from CDs and DVDs. The DVE-5300 supports DVD Video, DVD+R/RW, DCD-R/RW, CD and CD-R/RW disc formats. Media playback from MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and DivX files is supported.
