Allied Moulded's Sliderbox series of adjustable electrical boxes are unlike other adjustable boxes. With Sliderbox there's no need to remove or relocate mounting screws to re-position the box. Simply loosen the mounting screws and move the box to the needed depth, then tighten the mounting screws to secure the box in the new position. Sliderbox has many features. Slots retain slider plate and guide it in a straight motion. Internal rails guide slider plate for smooth mounting adjustability in wall substrates from 1/2-Inch to 1-3/8-Inch thick and ceiling substrates from 1/2-Inch to 1-5/32-Inch. Square corner design allows easy wall cut-in for old work applications. Molded spline device holes for quick device screw installation in wall boxes and machine tapped threads for ceiling fixture support in round ceiling boxes. Allied Moulded exclusive patented (U.S. Pat.#6365831 B1) molded in Speed Klamps in multi-gang and ceiling boxes. Molded of engineering grades of non-metallic thermoplastic. Slider plate holds screws in ready position to enable contractor to mount boxes faster. Patent #7,855,338 design allows for adjustments in now or old work installations. Heavy-duty non-slip pad to ensure box and slider assembly solidly hold mounted position. Tested to hold 50 pounds hung on box to simulate power cord pull-out strength. Sliderbox is excellent for use in kitchen and bath situations where final surface finish may not have been selected or may be changed in the future.
