Three outer pockets and outer mesh pockets make great "Catch-Alls". The neoprene backing of the outer air mesh pockets add extra dryness protection when carrying a wet umbrella or water bottle. There is also aspecial zippered security pocket on the bags back - perfect for plane tickets, a passport, press pass or other valuables.
