<b>Overview:</b><br>Dual scale salinity refractometer is used to measure, monitor and control the concentration of salt water and brine, especially useful for aquarium and marine applications.<p> <b>The usual salinity of the selected aqueous solutions :</b><br> 1.Fresh water --- <0.5 ppt<br> 2.Brackish water---0.5 to 30 ppt<br> 3.Saline water (Seawater)---30 to 50 ppt<br> 4.Brine--- >50 ppt<br> <b>Specifications:</b><br> Measuring Range: 0-10% Salinity<br> Division: 0.2% Salinity<br> Accuracy: ±0.2%<br> ATC: 0-10°C<br> Reference Temperature: 20°C<br> <p> <b>Operation Instructions</b><br> 1.Calibration: Accurate measurement depends on careful calibration. To calibrate the refractometer accurately, firstly you should make sure the ambient temperature is about 68℉，I recommend you do the calibration in an Air-conditioned room in which the temperature is set on 68℉. You can use distilled water to calibrate. Open the cover plate,place 2-3 drops of distilled water on the prism, then close the cover plate and make sure the water spreads across the prism without air bubbles or dry spots. Wait for about 30 seconds to let the reading to stabilize. Look into the eyepiece and turn the calibration screw with the screw driver until the reading is "0".<br> 2. Clean the prism with soft cloth, and then place 2-3 drops of the liquid sample to be tested on the prism, then close the cover plate and make sure the sample spreads across the prism without air bubbles or dry spots. Wait for about 30 seconds to let the reading to stabilize. Align the prism assembly with the light source, look into the eyepiece and you can get the reading.<br> 3.
