Brand New Transfer Case Rear Housing Kit<br>Check Compatibility Chart To Ensure Proper Fit <br>This Kit Includes A Redesigned Housing That Will Prevent The Common Pump Rub That Causes The Housing To Crack And Leak Fluid. This Is A Very Common Problem Because Gm Transfer Cases Use A Gear To Pump Oil To The Planetary Gears. The Oil Pump Must Float In The Transfer Case Housing And Eventually Rubs. Gm Installed A Sprung Steel Clip In The Housing To Prevent This Wear, However The Clip Breaks Or Wears Out Over Time. The Pump Housing Is Aluminum And Is A Harder Material Than The Oe Magnesium Rear Housing, It Can Wear A Hole In The Rear Housing And Cause A Very Small Fluid Leak. This Leak Is High Up On The Case And Usually Will Not Leak When The Vehicle Is Park And Therefore Does Not How Any Drops On The Ground.
