Built of cedar, this outdoor classic requires just strap iron and inexpensive bronze bushings for the smooth-action swing arms that support the seat. It can either be stained or painted. You will also need deck screws, flanged bushings, roundhead stainless steel machine screws with locknuts and flat washers, flathead screws, open link coil chain, screw eyes, glue, clear exterior finish. Tools needed: Circular saw or table saw, drill and common hand tools. Skill level - Beginner The designer of this plan has created the project using the simplest of construction and cutting methods.
