A 32-week 7th grade tech curriculum (organized by themes, compatible with shorter grading periods in Middle School) that addresses Common Core requirements and the diverse needs of Middle School tech classes. Each lesson is aligned with both Common Core State Standards and National Educational Technology Standards, and includes Scope and Sequence, including step-by-step weekly lessons, articles on tech pedagogy, emphasis on comprehension/problem-solving/critical thinking/preparing students for career and college. Focus is on transfer of knowledge, blended learning, collaboration, and sharing. Online support is FREE through a help blog Each lesson includes: Common Core Standards, ISTE Standards, essential question, big idea, materials required, vocabulary, problem solving for lesson, time required to complete, teacher preparation required, steps to accomplish goals, assessment strategies, troubleshooting, how to extend learning, additional resources, examples, grading rubrics. Units include: Digital Citizenship, Digital Tools, Excel Assessment, Gamification of Ed, Google Earth, Graphics, Keyboarding, Logical thinking, Pre-Programming, Problem Solving, Robotics, Search/Research, Visual Learning, Web Comm. Tools, and Word Assessment.
