3/4" Check valve inside tank. The check valve helps maintain oil to the pump by not allowing it to flow back into the tank when the pump stops pumping. The check valve connects to the bottom of the pickup line inside the oil tank and an optional check valve screen / filter can be connected to the bottom of the check valve for oil filtration. These are commonly used in oil tanks that supply used motor oil to your waste oil furnace.
