<p>The American made PVS-RS2 is a highly compatible 2" rodent vent screen for use with high efficiency furnace, hot water heater and boiler ventilation systems. By maintaining a 90% rate of airflow, which surpasses that of most other vent screen products by 30%, the PVS-RS2 provides full protection from birds, chipmunks, mice, moles and other animals without restricting airflow or impacting the performance of the high efficiency appliance.<br><br>Key features include:<br><br><b>90% Airflow</b><br>Professional grade airflow to protect intake and exhaust vents in sub-freezing temperatures and throughout winter without degradation of appliance efficiency, lockouts and other conditions associated with inefficient screens that collect condensate and freeze over.<br><br><b>316 Stainless Steel Screen</b><br>Superior to 304, 302, galvanized and other steels, 316 stainless steel is best suited for direct and long-term exposure to the acidic exhaust discharged by high efficiency appliances.<br><br><b>6061-T6 Aluminum Housing</b><br>Aluminum is highly resistant to corrosion and helps to retain/transfer heat during winter - allowing condensate to drip longer after each heat cycle completes.<br><br><b>Internal Wire Clip</b><br> No screws or adhesives are needed to secure the PVS-RS2 inside a 2" vent termination hub. The included internal wire clip allows for a serviceable installation so that it may be easily removed after winter and replaced with the PVS-IS2 (sold separately) for use during spring, summer and fall for added protection from insects.<br> <br><b>Fitment</b><br> The PVS-RS2 has an outside diameter of 2.370" and fits inside 2" vent termination hub with an inside diameter of 2-3/8". The installed vent screen remains inside the hub, where it will not collect debris, unlike other vent screens that fit around and/or extend beyond the hub.</p>
